Running out of material
I am at the computer a lot with my job and my dissertation. I often get/take breaks where I could blog abut my feelings, opinions, observations etc. But, I have determined I am just not one to do that kind of stuff very often. From time to time something will stick in my craw and I will write about it. Most of the time I prefer to disseminate info and give little glimpses into life. The problem here is that life is pretty uneventful right now. Most days I get to work around 7 and either work in an office all day or teach Greek for four hours and then work in an office all day. As far as office jobs go this one is actually pretty good; just nothing I could blog about and keep a reading audience that interested. After I get off close to 6, I either work for an hour or two on the classes I am teacching or I try to peck away at the dissertation, which I have to submit by Dec. 9th. At home (usually about 12 hours after I left that morning), Gail and I put together dinner, talk about the day (she usually has better stories about work than I do), take care of domestic things (bills, etc.), and watch TV (our latest obsession is the first season of LOST, rented via NetFlix; that's right we are back on the home delivery video thing). All this to say, I am running out of blog material!
The biggest recent event is that John, Gail's brother, who had been with us for about 6 weeks, has moved closer to UCLA. Want to see the area? Click here.
We celebrated his birthday last Sunday by kicking him out! Just kidding, we helped him move on Sunday. We also picked up Gail's and John's cousin, Nathan, and spent the afternoon at the Getty Museum. Sorry no pictures; we're too lazy. We ended the evening at BJ's for pizza, calzone, soup, beer and a pizookie (mmm, good!).

actually...that was a great post right there. i just love hearing about what life is like for you guys out there. thanks for the update. you're not planning a KC trip any time soon, are you? :)
and what's a pizookie? i'm guessing a pizza-cookie combo...but i can't get my mind around what that is like...
i have the same question about pizookie. 12 hour days are out of control. i'm always exhausted after 8. glad nonny could find his own place. i agree, its good to hear about what life is like for you. maybe gail should put up a blog soon?
this post is a sort of psuedo-blog for kerry. a pizookie is a big warm cookie in a deep-dish pizza pan with ice cream on top--yummie!!! you guessed it donna!
mmmm....i can feel my mouth salivating over the waters of life...oh, i mean over the pizookie.
