Halloween Celebration?

I understand that today is the eve of All Saints' Day, but Halloween is one holiday that does not seem celebratory. Is there any other holiday that does not really celebrate anything? (I mean a "real" holiday; not something like Groundhog's Day)

I expect that thousands of kids looking forward to candy would disagree with you!

More seriously, I expect that whether Halloween is "celebratory" depends on who's version of its origins you listen to (as you're probably aware, there seem to be a few competing versions these days, and discussions of the matter--especially in Christian circles--tend to yield more heat than light).
